A little bit about me

My name is Victor Trujillo, a creative UX & UI designer with solid experience supporting the full spectrum of user interactions and impressions for major brands. Resourceful in making recommendations to improve the customer journey on cross-platform applications covering mobile, tablet and computer. Collaborative in a development team environment with input into daily stand up meetings to review progress of UX/UI design projects.

UX Benchmark is a must to understand industry standard patterns and to try to keep the customer learning curve as low as possible.

Journey Mapping

How does your user interact across multiple channels? Draw the whole journey map and spot the pain points, seems like a good idea to me.

I’m an expert in Accessibility as I  have experience working as an Accessibility Consultant in Spain.


I have created various custom websites since 2005, and I fully understand client-server applications, script languages and databases.

Portfolio showcase

HSBC - Interac
Interac is a modern method of online P2P payment. My task was to deliver a responsive website design to create a good user experience across all devices: desktop, tablet and mobile.
HSBC - Banking Toolkit
To make the design process even more agile, I've produced and updated every two weeks, a Toolkit that followed HSBC Brand Guidelines. It helped designers to work more efficiently, and remarkably decrease time to design by a third.
Pokerstars - Spin & Go Max
I helped Pokerstars to conceptualise and design from zero Spin & Go Max poker game. This poker game variant reduced customer game churn rate and increase rake incomings significantly.
In 2005, I created a film review community that has achieved 14,000+ film reviews and 400+ collaborators. Recently, I've finished a complete design revamp, moving the old platform to WordPress, and designing a 100% responsive theme.

Work experience

UX / UI Designer (contract)

Oct 2017 - Mar 2019

I was lucky enough to be part of a scrum team distributed between India, UK and Scotland. My task was to give UX and UI support to various scrum teams to redesign move money journeys for desktop, tablet and mobile. HSBC is the largest bank in Europe, and the project I was working on will make an impact across multiple countries.

UX Consultant (contract)

Jan 2017 - Jul 2019

I helped Pokerstars deliver Spin & Go Max, which is a variant of the famous poker game Spin & Go, along with the design team and the Product Manager. I was also involved in other projects like the responsive poker table mode for mobile landscape and portrait orientations.

Multiplatform UX Designer

Aug 2015 - Dec 2016

I solved a variety of challenges across different platforms. For example, one of my tasks was the design of the Sky TV Emulator. An Axure prototype was delivered that resembled the Sky TV guide, to provide a real TV experience in the browser for the operators of the call centre.

UX Designer

Nov 2011 - Jul 2015

My primary remit was to design a simplified one-click lobby with smooth animations, fewer choices and custom-made game selection added to enhance the user journey for casual poker players. I have also worked in a wide variety of UX projects like the Partypoker software client, the native mobile app and the company’s responsive website.
